As a young girl growing up in this small rural village where Vilamas Ranch is placed, "Kate", Wassana Vilamas, retained fond memories of the pride with which local village women set about weaving clothes, bags, and home decor pieces using traditional hand weaving techniques.

Today, with extended members of her family, Kate continues to preserve this age-old weaving tradition by employing local village women who weave unique, individual Thai cotton items using hand-spun cotton and natural color dyes derived from local plants, flowers, and roots. Apart from the joy of owning an original hand-woven Thai cotton creation, all purchases from Villamas Ranch help preserve traditional crafts as well as provide a valuable source of income for village women.

เรื่องราวของ วิลามาศ อินดิโก้

เด็กสาวเติบโตขึ้นในหมู่บ้านชนบทเล็กๆแห่งหนึ่ง เป็นที่ตั้งของไร่และสวนวิลามาศ “เคท” วาสนา วิลามาศ ได้เก็บความทรงจำสิ่งที่เธอหลงใหล เป็นความภูมิใจที่ผู้หญิงในหมู่บ้านได้ทำการทอเสื้อผ้า กระเป๋า และของตกแต่งบ้านโดยใช้เทคนิคการทอผ้าด้วยมือแบบดั้งเดิม

ในวันนี้ เคทกับสมาชิกในครอบครัวของเธอ ยังคงรักษาขนบธรรมเนียมการทอผ้าเก่าแก่นี้เอาไว้โดยการจ้างสตรีในท้องถิ่นที่ทอผ้าฝ้ายไทยที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะ ใช้ผ้าฝ้ายทอมือและย้อมสีธรรมชาติที่ได้มาจาก ใบ ราก และดอกไม้ ของพืชในท้องถิ่น
